The Business Circle have been invited to attend, all welcome

  • I write to invite your members to attend the Pembrokeshire Business Network Conference on 30th October in the Begelly Arms, near Kilgetty.

We are delighted to welcome a prestigious line up of speakers at this years PBN conference and guest chairman Martin White, Head of Regeneration at Pembrokeshire County Council.

Mark Hooper of venture capital business Indycube Ventures will explain how they led a £125k investment in Internet start up business Pwinty, what this has meant for Pwinty and what attracted Mark and entrepreneur business partner David Hulston to invest in this young business.
Could Investment of this kind be a real alternative for Pembrokeshire businesses?

Universities in Wales have been at the forefront of driving forward business innovation in recent years as well as advising Government on economic strategy. Sian Rees, Associate Dean and Director of Enterprise at Cardiff School of Management will tell us what's been going on and how local business can benefit. Businesses locally have also expressed frustration with the education system so what can be done to make young people more 'work ready'?
Sian is also Vice Chair of South and West Wales Institute of Directors.

Pembrokeshire is part of Swansea Bay City Region, an organisation set up to bring together business, local government and a range of other partners, working to a common goal of creating economic prosperity for the people who live and work in our City Region. Nick Revell, Director of Ledwood Mechanical Engineering Ltd will outline what this means for Pembrokeshire in real terms. Will there be opportunities for smaller businesses?

PLUS bring your questions (and answers) for a panel discussion with speakers and invited guests.

I hope you can join us for a morning of business and networking.
